Oje Ihonvbere was born in Toronto, Canada in 1982, where he spent a few years before moving to Nigeria to live out the rest of his early childhood. In 1990, his parents moved back to Canada briefly before finally arriving in Austin, Texas.

There, he spent his early teenage years attending middle school and the first year of high school before landing in New York. Here, He attended three years at Hastings High school in Hastings-On-Hudson, NY, upon graduation he spent 4 memorable years attending S.U.N.Y. at Stony Brook where he received a B. A. in Studio Art. After taking a year off to travel and spend some time with friends and family, he applied, and was accepted to the Design program at the prestigious Pratt Institute where he acquired a masters in Communication Design with an emphasis on advertising and marketing.

Oje works for Galison / Mudpuppy Press, a company that specializes in paper products such as journals and note cards, as well as puzzles and other educational games for kids. His duties at Galison include (but are not limited to) web marketing/optimization and some more traditional work on the Galison website. He also freelances on more design related jobs including branding, website design, illustration and marketing.

When he is not working, Oje enjoys spending time with his significant other, Catherine, and their dogs Baron and Bishop. He also enjoys sports, video games, reading, traveling and watching movies. Friends would say he is possessed of an easy sense of humor and a laid back attitude while still being responsible and confident in his abilities as a designer.
