Not to make light of the incident that took place at SeaWorld on Feb 24th, but I’d think you have to assume death is a possibility when you work with an animal called a “Killer Whale”. The truth is that this particular whale had a history of violence, if a wild animal can have such a thing.

Ironically, growing up I always had a fascination with Orcas and Pronghorns. I did projects on both and I choose to make models out of clay, which coming to think of it was one of my earliest artistic projects.

I remember spending hours working on the things in our garage (the only safe spot from my little brothers) determined to get them just right, I’m sure they looked awful but I only remember the sense of pride I had when I finished.
